Are you looking for a radical, contemporary worship experience where you can be challenged to perform in extraordinary ways and be the very best you that you can be? Sorry, Faith Presbyterian Church is not that place.
Faith Presbyterian Church is radically ordinary in our approach to worship and ministry. We strive to proclaim God’s law in all of its terrible weight and glory and God’s gospel in all of its refreshing wonder and joy through exegetical preaching and the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Are you looking for a radical, contemporary worship experience where you can be challenged to perform in extraordinary ways and be the very best you that you can be? Sorry, this is not that place. Instead, you will find a place where Jesus meets sinners, week after week, graciously assuring them of forgiveness while conforming them to His image, so that they can serve God and their neighbors out of gratitude and love.
You can find many ways to fix America, modify your behavior, or make your city a better place through any number of wonderful and worthy charities with which many of our members serve.
But you can always meet with God in those places where He promises to meet with and strengthen us, through Word and Sacrament, in His church. We need the gospel of Christ weekly, so that we can die to ourselves and serve our neighbors in the ordinary, life-long process of growing in holiness.
The Holy Spirit’s job is to point us to the person and work of Christ. Sometimes, we see Him move in extraordinary ways. Mostly, however, we see Him at work quietly but powerfully, as we teach our children in Sunday School and youth group, as we hear God’s Word, as we pray faithfully and sing joyfully, and as we serve one another’s needs and share Christ with those around us–in other words, the ordinary stuff of church through which God does extraordinary, radical things.
We invite you to discover how God’s ordinary means of grace can be so radical!
