The Nursery at Faith Presbyterian is a vital ministry to our covenant children and their parents. As a church body, we pledge at each baby’s baptism to care for the children and help them grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We provide an environment of love, safety, and spiritual growth for each child, because we want them to know they are loved and cherished by God and by the people in His church at Faith.
During the Sunday school hour, one Nursery is available for children up to age 3. (Three-year olds attend Sunday School during this time.)During the Worship service, an Infant Nursery is available for babies up to about age two, and a ToddlerNursery for children 24-48 months. After opening play time, the Toddlers join leaders for a brief time of Worship.
Both rooms follow a simple schedule which includes a snack. Please provide a sippie cup for Toddlers, and bottle feeding instructions for Infants. Also be sure to alert the nursery workers of any food allergies.
We have room available for nursing mothers where cribs are also provided for sleepy infants. There is also a cry room near the Sanctuary.
Working in the Nursery
The Faith nursery is organized by volunteer committee members, and fully staffed by members and regular attendees of the congregation. All members are encouraged to join this vital ministry! Serving our covenant children is a great way to get to know them and their families. It also serves as a reminder of Jesus’ love for little children. All workers are screened prior to service and individuals work in a team and serve about once every other month.
If you have any questions about the nursery please call the church office.
