Just like our culture, in the time of The Preacher people were tempted to do whatever it took to get ahead. How do God’s people live wisely when the predominant religion since the Garden of Eden is materialism? Where’s the payoff in piety? Where are all the blessings God promises and why is He not cursing the lawless? Of what possible benefit is wisdom? And what are wisdom's limitations?
